Charlie – 8 year old male Collie

Charlie is 8 year old Collie boy being fostered in Gloucestershire with other dogs in an adult home. This lovely boy came into care after being brought off the internet 5 months ago along with Jess the older Collie we have – he was with his previous home since a puppy. The family who brought him no longer had the time to care for him and Jess and were worried about vet bills. When I met him and Jess to assess suitability for our rescue as we are foster home based – what was the first thing that struck me about them was how lovely and friendly they were. We had a walk in the woods – both off the lead, met other dogs and people and could see no issues at all so agreed to take them.

Charlie has settled like a dream into his foster family, he is fine with other dogs, good off lead, clean, sleeps well at night, no problems at all, its become apparent someone at sometime did love him and trained him etc., he is a very well balanced dog. A bit over weight but we are working on this – typical collie loves his ball and chasing it, love his walks and particularly loves men. We are finding out more and more about him and the words and commands he knows as he settles.

Charlie now needs a home for life not for a few months, he is a gift as a dog as he is such a lovely boy, remember he is fit and active so requires exercise every day and company as he is a very loving dog.

Someone somewhere is going to get a wonderful companion and Charlie can become their world that is what we want for him, would love him to go to someone who he can make a difference to maybe someone lonely or heart broken since they lost their last dog and want a loving balanced boy who can fit into their life, someone who needs him as much as he needs them as he is such a special boy.

We have tested Charlie with cats and felt it was too interested to be homed with cats.

Charlie is neutered, we have started his vaccinations again, wormed, fleaed and chipped.
