Summer is a 5-6 month old female Beddlington Terrier cross Whippet. She is an adorable girl who has come into rescue through no fault of her own, her owners situation changed and they were unable to meet her needs. She is looking for new owners who are around for most of the day as she does suffer from separation anxiety. Her fosters are working on this with her but her training will need to continue in her new home.
She will be best re homed with another dog that is tolerant of her attempts at play and well rounded enough to let her know in an appropriate manner that her play needs to be tempered. Summer loves people and is good with children. She will actively seek children out to interact with, that said as we have a limited history for her, older children 8+ please. A cat and small furry free home will be best for this girl.
We would like new owners who are around for most of the day and who have experience of dealing with separation anxiety in dogs. Summer is a young dog who will benefit from further training and we would like her to attend training classes (where possible given current situation) or be homed with experienced owners who have solid training experience.
Summer will need to be neutered at the correct time as part of her adoption agreement. (Reduced costs neutering is available at our vets on request) She has been vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. Summer is currently being fostered in Woolwich London SE18.
