Hilda – 3 year old female Miniature Dachshund

Hilda is a 3 year old female Miniature Dachshund. She has had a troubled life and will need a special home able to allow her to adjust in her own time and settle. Once this girl bonds she gives her heart and soul to her caregiver. This process cannot be rushed so patience is paramount.

Once bonded Hilda adores females, she will sell her soul to be cuddled up beside her favourite lady. Hilda is nervous of men and if she is to be homed with a man it will take time, patience and understanding for her to bond and accept him – it will not happen overnight so any applicants need to be dedicated and committed to seeing things through no matter how long it may take.

Adult only home please due to her initial nervousness. Consideration may be given to older teenagers who are very experienced around dogs. Not known how Hilda is with cats. Hilda must be re homed with at least one other dog, preferably more as she gains so much from being with other dogs and her confidence grows daily.

Hilda has no health issues. Great in the home, clean as a whistle and not destructive, loves to curl up on the sofa or bed share with her foster pals. Hilda loves being out and about and is a really active girl, she thrives outside and as you can see is an active girl, she prefers woodland walks to road walks and she can be a little nervous around traffic.

Ideally Hilda would love a home with other dogs, owners who love the outdoors and no children. As we have said Hilda is very scared of men and can be vocal, if she goes to a home with men they will need to be fully on board with the work and patience needed to allow her to learn to trust. She is a gorgeous girl once she has bonded and whoever takes the time to settle her will be rewarded with a cracking companion.

Hilda has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. Fostered in Burnham, Berkshire.

Potential adopters will be expected to travel to Burnham, Berkshire to meet Hilda.
