The 10 Dog Breeds That Shed The Least

Kristof – 6 month old male Cross-Breed

Kristof is a 6 month old, smaller medium male Cross-Breed puppy (shoulder height: 40 cm, weight: 9 kg). He was born to the wrong place and was taken to a kill shelter where he spent over 2 months before we finally rescued him in May.

We’ve never seen dogs being so happy to arrive in their new temporary home – which is a kennel! – with Eddy which is telling us a lot about how frightening life must be for these dogs at a kill shelter.

Kristof was very fearful initially and totally unsocialized with people and scared of human touch. He has always been friendly and sociable with dogs though and fitted into his canine pack straight away. He was also malnourished and had skin problems so he’s been getting vitamins, calcium and immunostimulants which helped a lot and his hair has nicely grown back all over his body.

With time, he’s been getting a lot less fearful and he is now more confident when approaching humans. He even comes up for a hand lick and greets you with a waggy tail.

Kristof is a lively, playful puppy who loves running around and mingling with his doggie mates. He is always happy to be around dogs and he cries out of joy each time he gets reunited with his pack. He also plays with all kinds of toys like a healthy puppy.

Kristof is a funny little boy who always keeps himself busy and brings smiles onto your face with his cheeky personality. He currently stays in our mini shelter that he is sharing with a few other doggies. He is not taken on regular walks and it is down to his new family to train him how to walk nicely on and off the lead. He currently lives in a kennel outdoors and will probably need some house training put in place once in his new home. He is quite relaxed when travelling in the car and sits nicely on the back seat.

Kristof would be best suited with a family without children where he is not left alone for long periods of time and there is time for his training. His future family will need to continue his socialization by taking him to nice walks and including him in the family’s activities. He will need to be given time to settle in his new home and gain his confidence.

He would probably benefit from living with another friendly and confident dog, but he could potentially be happy living with his humans to care for him only.

As all rescue dogs, he will need time, patience, love and commitment from isr adopting family to become a happy and well balanced dog. He has not been tested with cats and unless you have experience with introducing a dog to your cat, he is going to be rehomed in to a cat free household.

Kristof is currently in Hungary and can travel to the UK as soon as the right family is found for him. He comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork.

The right owner will need to agree to have him neutered once fully grown.

Adoption is subject to Home Check and Adoption fee.
