The 10 Dog Breeds That Shed The Least

Styopa – 8 month old male Cross-Breed

Styopa is a 8 month old male Cross-Breed. He is a fantastic  puppy with a disability. He was rescued in Southern Russia. He had no chance of surviving in the streets. He was born with an unusual looking deformity in his front right leg.

Whilst he can still use it to hold things and for balance, he cannot walk on it because it is too short. So he hops around on 3 legs. And he manages amazingly well!

Styopa is a puppy like any other. He is very active, inquisitive, playful, loves his long walks and runs around without a care in the world. He does have some limitations which are likely to become more prominent as he ages. But he is not one for having a quiet life!

He is affectionate, excitable and at times comical. He is good with people and other dogs. He has no aggression towards cats, but does chase them for fun. Everyone who meets him is amazed by his good nature and “let’s get on with it” personality. Handsome and wonderfully soft to touch. He has a brilliant recall, knows basic commands, good in the car.

We are looking for an experienced family with adult children or a couple/single person with no children. Someone who will be at home most of the time and who will be understanding of his (currently very few) limitations and able to accommodate them as he gets older. We will provide full details at the interview stage of the Rehoming process.

Styopa enjoys and needs good walks but he is much more comfortable walking off the lead, so an easy access to the woods or a similar countryside facility is essential. He is well adjusted but, as any puppy, he needs continuous training. We will only consider applicants who own their property with a ground floor. He is currently in a foster home in Kent (on the Surrey border), so we are looking for a home in Kent or neighbouring counties.

Styopa will do well in a home with another suitable dog (not a puppy) or as the only dog. No cats. Styopa weighs about 14 kg, is microchipped, fully vaccinated, will need to be neutered in a couple of months.

If you are interested in adopting Styopa, pls contact us for our Adoption Application Form. Please read our Adoption Policy and Adoption Procedure on our website first in the section about our Rehoming in the UK Programme.
